Richard’s love of the game started at eight years old. He was a 2-time junior club champion at the Quechee Club in Quechee, VT and a former Four Season’s Racquet Club (Wilton, CT) inter-club summer team member and intra-club top 10 singles player.

Richard introduced tennis to his youngest daughter, Cayla, who has become his frequent hitting partner. She has achieved a top 10 USTA New England ranking and is a three time State Open Single’s Semi-finalist. She is currently a member of the Bucknell University women’s tennis team. Richard’s oldest daughter, Lindsay, started playing tennis at three years old and is a member of the William & Mary women’s lacrosse team.

Richard also enjoys coaching youth basketball, softball, and lacrosse team.
